The separate accommodation building known as Willow was excellent in many ways, ideal for our needs, and good value for the size. However, there were a few issues on the first floor due to the lack of a lift.

The Willow rooms were absolutely ideal for our needs and good value for the size, despite a few problems on the first floor without a lift.

I hoped the staff were better trained but the service was still decent overall.

The location, particularly for touring Sussex and National Trust properties, was beautiful. However, it may not be great for activities during the day with Brighton being an hour away.
Dining

The dining experience was of a good standard with a buffet offering a nice varied choice. I enjoyed the three-course menu with welcome drinks and table wine.

The Ghyll Manor had facilities that oozed appeal in every room. The gardens were gorgeous, and a walk around the lakes was a delightful experience.

The hotel offers a unique choice of rooms, from the cozy 'Rafters' suite with a very comfortable bed to the spacious 'cottage' with a lovely view of the grounds. The service was top-notch, although the dining experience left much to be desired. The location is easily accessible and worth exploring, but the dining quality could be improved.

The hotel offers a mix of comfortable and uninspiring rooms, with individual and spacious options in the main house. It provides serene surroundings but lacks appeal for daytime activities. The dining experience is decent but could be improved, while the service is good overall. The hotel's picturesque gardens are a highlight, but the pricing and value for money are questionable.

The hotel's location is easy to find with a sat nav and boasts lovely, idyllic decoration. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the gardens and grounds are truly beautiful. However, the conservatory lacked atmosphere. Dining options were varied but limited, and the homemade pastry was a highlight. Birch cottage was very spacious with its own lounge area, en-suite bathroom, and nearness to Gatwick airport. The service was exceptional with friendly staff. The hotel facilities were satisfactory. The main building was a bit noisy over the bar, and the distant room access was inconvenient.
Rooms

My room was like a sauna, no fan provided, and calling reception didn't get a response. It was situated away from the main building, and the access seemed cumbersome.
Service

The service was exceptional; the staff was very friendly.
Location

The hotel's room, named 'Rafters,' was spacious and comfortable despite being a bit dated and noisy due to its proximity to the kitchen. The location was peaceful and good for visiting Brighton, near Horsham and Gatwick, with a separate lounge area. However, the dining was described as inedible and overpriced, suffering from buffet issues.
